HUB’s inaugural ride hour challenge on #WorldCarFreeDay
To celebrate the launch of Fall Bike to Work Week (kicking off Sept 28th) and #WorldCarFreeDay (annually on Sept 22nd) we challenged 10 local community leaders to spend up to an hour of their day on their bike!
Recognizing that the pandemic has presented an unusual work-life balance for most, the goal of the ride hour challenge is to showcase how anybody can use up to an hour of their day to get out on their bike. Building on the concept of a 0km commute from Go by Bike Week in May, we challenged 10 local leaders to get out on their bike and inspire others to do the same.
The result was a resounding success!
Nearly all the community leaders invited hopped on their bike and enjoyed up to an hour of their day getting to meetings, press conferences or for a more leisurely recreation ride with the family.
Here are some of the highlights of the inaugural ride hour challenge.
Where will your ride hour take you?
