HUB Cycling views the diversity of our members and communities as assets and strive to create and sustain a diverse and culturally competent organization that reflects the populations we serve. MEETING INFORMATION
Monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 7:30-9:00 pm. (No meetings in August and December)
Location: Online, via Google Meet.

When you join a Local Committee, you get the chance to:
- Work directly with municipal staff, elected officials and community organization
- Help solve local road and sidewalk problems and learn how they affect local communities
- Build leadership skills and grow your confidence in advocacy and teamwork
- Expand your network by connecting with new people who share your passion
- Help improve the livability and safety of neighborhoods
Local Committees take action through:
- Writing letters to decision-makers
- Providing feedback on future transportation projects
- Meeting with politicians, planners, and engineers
- Organizing rides to assess cycling conditions
- Hosting community events and building local alliances
- Local Committees are the backbone of HUB Cycling’s advocacy, and the work they do has already led to major improvements across the region.

2025 Committee Objectives
Objective One: Increasing membership of committee and engaging community
Benefits:
Increase visibility of people on bikes and the advocacy work of HUB Langley. Create a larger committee with more support and ability to facilitate succession planning for committee chairs/co-chair positions
Objective Two: Increasing community education on safe passing distance law
Benefits: Increase safety of vulnerable road users in Langley and beyond.
Objective Three: Contributing to active transportation design feedback on Township of Langley and City of Langley projects.
Benefits:
Providing cyclists and vulnerable road users voice to future transportation plans.
2024 Committee Accomplishments
- Establishing a relationship with community partners including the RCMP Traffic Division
- More bike parking in the City and Township of Langley
- Increasing social media presence and engagement in active transportation city wide and township wide surveys
Cycling Maps
The Township of Langley and TransLink have created maps of the cycling networks in Langley to help all cyclists navigate safely and comfortably on their bikes. These maps are updated regularly to provide current information on cycling and show the comfort levels of each route based on how separated it is from traffic. PDF versions of the maps for Langley are available at the links below. Cycling maps for other Metro Vancouver municipalities are available at bikehub.ca/maps.
