Local Committees

Support Cycling in your Community - Join a Local Committee

HUB's local committees meet regularly to discuss cycling issues specific to each municipality. Each committee also has a discussion group.

Don't see your area?

Currently, we have no active committee in the areas not listed above. We welcome interest from all municipalities in Metro Vancouver; if your municipality isn't listed, please join the discussion group nearest you, send questions to the general discussion group, or contact president@bikehub.ca to discuss starting a new committee in your local area.

Issues Committees

Regional Advisory Committee

The RAC discusses cycling issues that cross municipal boundaries, such as policies on sidewalk riding, connecting a regional cycling network, and more.

Ironworker’s Memorial Bridge Bicycle Improvements

This committee is working with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure who have approved the committee's recommendations of widened bridge bikeways and improved railings. The committee continues to work to see quick implementation, as well as surfacing and access route improvements.

Central Valley Greenway Eastern Extension

This group is working to extend the CVG to connect to eastern municipalities and the new Port Mann Bridge bike lanes.

HUB Membership & Volunteers Committee

HUB is always looking to attract and engage members to encourage cycling improvements, create a sense of community amongst cyclists and potential cyclists, and celebrate together.

HUB Marketing & Communications Committee

Focusing on the HUB's look, outreach, and messaging, the M & C Committee is involved with rebranding plans, communications plans, and continual public relations for the organization.
