This back-to-school season, help #UnGapTheMap.

Over 40% of people across Metro Vancouver want to cycle but don’t. While there are a few gaps preventing people from taking their journey by the handlebars, a major barrier to getting people cycling more often is fear of unsafe route conditions. HUB Cycling has been working for more than 25 years to get more people cycling more often. In collaboration with municipalities, TransLink, and the provincial government, HUB Cycling is working to #UnGapTheMap across Metro Vancouver so that more people can cycle more often (and more safely).

In 2017, HUB Cycling created the #UnGapTheMap campaign, presented by FedEx, to identify and prioritize gaps in the existing cycling network and advocate for implementing safe and accessible cycling infrastructure in these areas. HUB Cycling has identified over 400 priority gaps in Metro Vancouver's bicycle network that, if filled, would get more people cycling more often. Since it began, over 200 gaps have been filled and infrastructure successes completed as part of the campaign.

HUB Cycling’s 10 Local Committees operating in municipalities and regions across Metro Vancouver have identified priority gaps in their areas. With your support, we can fill these gaps to make cycling safer, more connected, and more accessible. Overall, we can make biking better in Metro Vancouver together.
