Local Cycling Groups

METRO VANCOUVER (SURREY/WHITE ROCK, BURNABY, LANGLEY, RICHMOND, NEW WESTMINISTER, TRI-CITIES, MAPLE RIDGE AND PITT MEADOWS)

  • Atomic - Primarily a road-focused club with a passion for all things related to cycling including cyclo-cross, track racing at the Burnaby Velodrome, mountain biking and triathlon.
  • Cross Canada Cycle Tour Society - Non-profit recreational cycling organization for active adults of all ages. Metro Vancouver chapter meets weekly for recreational rides.
  • Cycling Without Age  - A website dedicated to promoting cycling for seniors that is safe, accessible, and above all — fun!
  • Richmond Bicycle Club - Richmond Bicycle Club is an adult recreational cycling club founded in 1970. Our members are "young at heart" mature adults who share their love of cycling.  We organize weekend rides from early spring until late fall. The rides, throughout the lower mainland and Pacific Northwest, usually average 50 to 60 kilometres. There are some shorter training rides early in the year and the occasional longer ride in the summer. We also have some mid-week evening rides during the summer months. Throughout the year we also have the occasional weekend trip and some longer tours of one or two weeks.
  • Team Coastal Cycling - Weekly rides in Surrey and Langley on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Rides range in skill level from beginner to advanced cyclists.
  • United Velo - Based out of Surrey, United Velo is geared towards cyclists from all areas including Road, MTB XC & DH, Cyclocross, and Track. Rides include local road rides, races and the annual Mt. Baker ride. 
  • BC Randonneurs - Audax Club Parisien sanctioned ultra-distance cycling club.
  • SORCE SHED Bike Club - A Surrey bike club for all ages geared towards off-road cycling enthusiasts. SORCE holds XC races, events and runs bike camps for kids.
  • Tri-City Cycling Club - A road cycling club that serves the tri-cities: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and beyond. Club rides are Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
  • Escape Velocity - All-year round road cycling club. Club rides for new members on Saturday mornings and organized rides for established members on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
  • BC ebike riders group - We offer an opportunity for ebike riders to discuss ebikes, accessories, places to ride, insurance, and for riders to share their experiences.
  • Lotus Cycling Club - Vancouver based road-cycling group that promotes biking through group rides, training, education workshops and events.
  • Cap's Bicycle Ride Club - Cap's Bicycle Ride Club is a cycling club based in New Westminster. The club organizes group rides, training sessions, and racing events for cyclists of all levels. It aims to promote the sport of cycling and provide a supportive community for its members.

DELTA

  • South Delta Riders - Group rides 3 times each week, and the occasional pub night at Sharkey's in Ladner.
  • Boundary Bay Cycling Club - BBCC believes that road cycling is about much more than tight spandex, EPO and competitive races. Provide roadies in Delta a cycling family that values fitness, health, and relationships.
  • Team Coastal - A diverse group of men and women, boys and girls who share a passion for cycling. Offers support to riders of all levels through peer support, variety of rides and training opportunities.

NORTH VANCOUVER

  • Obsession - Lonsdale bike shop that offers kick-butt group rides!
  • North Shore Mountain Bike Association - Hosts Community Trail Days, races and events such as the Fromme Fondo and Fivers, and Work Wednesdays that focus on mountain bike trail maintenance and repair. The NSMBA also runs youth programs and a series of courses teaching trail maintenance.
  • Brio Cycling Club - An introductory and fun-based road riding club for youth on the North Shore.
  • Steed Cycles - Runs two ride clubs:
    • All Women All Mountain MTB Ride Group: A riding club for women who are already comfortable on their mountain bikes and looking for a solid crew of girls to ride with.
    • Steed Cycle Ride group: Planned weekly group rides led by a dedicated Steed Cycles Ride Leader.

VANCOUVER

  • CoffeeOutsideYVR - follow on Instagram for info on Friday morning weekly meetups and rotating non-competitive, recration  location rides. 
  • Chill Rides Vancouver - follow on Instagram or Facebook for info on inclusive rides for Girls, Gays, Theys. All bikes welcome! Non-competative, recreatin rides.
  • Vancouver Bicycle Club - Non-competitive recreational cycling club for all levels of cyclists.
  • Vancouver Velo Vets - A road cycling club established in 1992, with a focus on group rides and social connection.
  • Gradient Cycling Club - Social rides in Vancouver on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 8:30 am. Meeting spot Pure Bread (5 E. 5th Ave.).
  • Gravel Buddies - Social rides, started after they recognized the need for more gravel riding. Riding trails is about connecting with nature and finding calm areas around the city.  Follow on Instagram for info on inclusive rides for women, gender diverse, LGBTQIA2s+ or anyone who feels marginalized within the cycling community.
  • Let's Go Biking - A collection of easy rides for cyclists of all ages and abilities around Metro Vancouver and beyond.
  • La Bicicletta - Local bike shop that holds Wednesday night rides around Stanely Park during the summer time. Road bikes only.
  • Glotman-Simpson Cycling - The Glotman Simpson race team and club has a schedule of rides, including novice rides. Their beginning category has a 30 km/hr pace. Rides are held between April 1st and September 30th every year.
  • Gastown Cycling Club - A cycling club with a race team and group rides from late March to September/October. Ride locations vary.
  • The Vancouver Bicycle Meetup Group - A group of recreational cyclists who enjoy exploring Vancouver on their bikes. Rides are held in several locations throughout Metro Vancouver.

HUB Cycling has 10 Local Committees that meet regularly to discuss ways to make biking better, safer, and more comfortable in their municipaliites, as well as a Youth Advisory Committee that discusses youth-related cycing issues and advocacy.
