Vancouver Cycling Routes See Record Volume in Summer 2017

The City of Vancouver has just released that July and August 2017 saw record cycling volumes on five protected bike routes: Science World, Adanac (at Hawks), Hornby (at Robson), Lions Gate Bridge, and the Canada Line Pedestrian and Bike Bridge.

Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson says: "It’s fantastic to see people of all ages and abilities getting around by bike on Vancouver’s world-class active transportation network, whether to commute, run errands or just get out and explore the city. [We have] put huge effort into building a safe and comfortable active transportation network and it’s rewarding to see these investments pay off with record-breaking cycling ridership across the city.'
