Update: Iron Workers Memorial Bridge Improvements

It's time to insist on a safer cycling passage across the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge (Second Narrows). The BC government is planning to make some changes to the bridge so we need to let them know what we need now!
Update: Dec 20, 2012 - The Ministry of Transportation has confirmed that a detailed design to widen the sidewalks/bikeways along the IWMB to 2.5m and to add safety fences has commenced. This is the maximum width possible with the current structure. This is an important success! Now we need to continue to ensure that funding is allocated to implement the design into construction. We also need to continue emphasizing the entries, exits, and wayfinding around the bridge to enhance connectivity and safety.
