Sales Tax Proposal to Help Fund Transit & Cycling

The Metro Vancouver Mayors Council is proposing a sales tax of between .1% and .5% to help fund transit (and cycling) in Metro Vancouver, added to their list of possible funding sources that they are approaching the Provincial Government with. HUB has written a letter of support.

Consider sending an email in support of more funding for transit and cycling including the sales tax, vehicle levy, carbon tax and road pricing to:

In the United States, such sales taxes are commonly used to support transit and cycling, with voter support.
