Reporting issues to Local Governments
Problems during your ride? We encourage you to report any safety issues or road hazards related to cycling to city staff in your municipality. Please remember to ask for a follow-up regarding the issue and its resolution, so we can ensure the safety and accessibility of our entire cycling network!
You can also report road hazards, near misses, collisions, and bike thefts around the region at bikemaps.org to help researchers understand problem areas.
- Burnaby: For operation and maintenance issues, send a "general inquiry" to City of Burnaby Engineering. For larger infrastructure requests, submit a letter to council.
- City of North Vancouver: Send city staff an email, or download the CityFix app to report issues
- Coquitlam: Email Service Requests or phone 604-927-3500 (Water, Sewer, Roads). Send an email to Mayor and Council here.
- Port Coquitlam: Submit a request for service. Send an email to Mayor and Council here. Send an email to Mayor and Council here.
- Port Moody: Report a problem. Contact Operations department by phone at 604-469-4574.
- Delta: Use the TalkDelta form or mobile app 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- District of North Vancouver: Call (604) 990-2450, or send an email
- District of West Vancouver: Call the Engineering department at (604) 925-7020
- New Westminster: Information available on the City of New Westminister website
- Richmond: Contact information available on the City of Richmond website
- Surrey: Use the website MySurrey to report a problem. During working hours you can call the Roads department at 604-591-4152 to report emergency issues.
- City of Langley: Submit a request for service
- Township of Langley: Submit a request or contact the city here
- Vancouver: Call 311 or report it via Van311
- MoTI (Numbered highways & UBC area): Confirm jurisdiction here and call (604) 271-0337. Contact BC's Minister of Transport by email here.
- Maple Ridge: Email the Operations department or call 604-463-9581. Alternatively, report a problem online here. For the Golden Ears Bridge: Contact Miller Capilano Highway Services, 24/7 hotline: 1-866-918-1010, ext. 1.
- For Lougheed Highway through Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows: Contact Mainroad Contracting, tel. 604-271-0337.
- Pitt Meadows: Contact Public Works Department Monday through Friday by calling 604-465-5454 or for after-hours Emergency Service 604-465-2465. Report a problem online here.
