Go by Bike Week Event Activators
Love talking to people and want to help run an in-person event? HUB Cycling is hiring two (2) Go by Bike Week Event Activators!
About HUB Cycling and Go by Bike Week :
HUB Cycling is Metro Vancouver’s cycling organization that encourages people of all ages and abilities to cycle more often. Go by Bike Week is a week-long event that encourages people to track their bike rides for a chance to win prizes!
Event Activators set up and run the Celebration Stations, high-energy pop-up stations across Metro Vancouver, where the public can receive cycling resources, free snacks, and bike maintenance throughout Go By Bike Week.
Activators are paid $28 per hour and will work approximately 40 hours between May 29 - June 5. The final compensation and schedule will be confirmed before signing the contract.
Must-haves:
- Class 5 driver's license and two years of driving history in BC (1 driver needed)
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
- Willingness to work rain or shine
- Excited to engage with the public! (Prior customer service experience is preferred.)
Responsibilities
Set-up and take down Celebration Stations
- Drive equipment to each site location (vehicle provided)
- Unload and set up the event tent, tables, and signage at each location
- Take down each station and load the equipment into the van.
Engage the public at Celebration Stations
- Chat with members of the public about cycling and work with volunteers (training will be provided). You’ll be the face of HUB Cycling!
Event Admin
- Pick up and return rental equipment
- Organize event supplies post-event
