The Bike Parking Working Group focuses on improving short-term public destination bike parking and public education on secure bike parking.
Active and upcoming projects include:
- Attracting Shoppers on Bikes campaign to improve Vancouver Retail Chain Store Bike Parking.

- Summer Bike Security Pop-Ups at Parks, Beaches and Bikeways with the VPD and 529 Garage
- Improving bike access and secure short term bike parking at public facilities across Vancouver
- Researching new and innovative secure short-term bike parking solutions

Volunteer Positions
Volunteer: Video Content Creator
HUB Cycling’s Vancouver Local Committee is seeking volunteers who are interested in creating and designing short video content to support the HUB Cycling Vancouver Secure Bike Parking Working Group. This work will help highlight our project focused on improving bike parking at retail chain stores across the region.
If you have experience with video production, editing, animation, or creative storytelling and are enthusiastic about better and safer bike parking we’d love to have you involved.
Volunteer: Secure Bike Parking Engagement Volunteer
HUB Cycling's Vancouver Local Committee Secure Bike Parking Working Group are looking for people with current or former corporate experience to help engage senior management at retail chains on improving the experience for shoppers who arrive by bike.
This is a project of the HUB Vancouver Secure Bike Parking Working Group, which has developed recommendations for more than 100 retail chain stores across Vancouver.
Starts in January | 4–10 hours per week.
Volunteer: Secure Bike Parking Communication Volunteer
HUB Cycling's Vancouver Local Committee Secure Bike Parking Working Group is seeking a volunteer with technical communications experience to respond to questions from retail chain store managers and consultants about our recommendations for improving the experience of shoppers who bike.
This work supports a project led by the HUB Vancouver Secure Bike Parking Working Group, which has developed bike parking and access recommendations for retail chain stores across Vancouver.
Time commitment: 2–6 hours per week | Start date: January 15.
