Volunteering isn’t just good for your community — it’s good for YOU too.

Joining a HUB Local Committee to advocate for safer streets for vulnerable road users can been one of the most rewarding decisions you make. It’s an incredible opportunity to:

✅ Meet new people and build meaningful relationships

✅ Broaden your professional and personal networks

✅ Grow leadership skills in a real-world setting

✅ Gain hands-on experience in advocacy, community organizing, and collaborating with municipal staff and council and partner organizations

✅ Strengthen your resume with tangible, impactful achievements

But beyond all that, it’s about making a real, positive difference in your own neighborhood — and seeing the results of your efforts every day.

If you’re looking for a way to contribute and grow personally (and even professionally!), consider getting involved. Your community needs you — and you might be surprised by how much you gain too.

HUB's volunteer-led advocacy committees meet once a month (virtually and in-person) in Burnaby, Delta, Langley, Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, New Westminster, the North Shore, Richmond, the Tri-Cities, Surrey/White Rock and Vancouver. We are always looking for people to join. We even have leadership positions available in most committees!
