Register now for Bike to Shop Day

July 14, 2016

Women shopping by bike

Registration is now open for what promises to be one of HUB’s most fun events of the summer.

Vancouver’s first ever Bike to Shop Day, which takes place on Saturday, August 13, will celebrate cycling as a convenient and enjoyable way to make your shopping trips.

The event will include celebration stations with free repairs and tips on cycling while shopping, discounts at a variety of stores and the chance to win some exciting prizes.

There will also be two free themed bike rides taking place on the day. One tour will give pet-lovers the chance to visit some of Vancouver’s best pet stores, receive tips on cycling with their pets and visit popular dog parks. The second ride is aimed at food fanatics and will include stops at some of the city’s gourmet hot spots so that riders can pick up their favourite treats ahead of the end of tour picnic.

Even if you don’t take part in a tour, you can get discounts by visiting participating stores or win a $500 Denman Bikes VIP gift card when you collect stamps in HUB’s Bike to Shop Day passport.

Anyone who registers for Bike to Shop Day will be entered into a competition to win a trip for two to the Okanagan including hotel accommodation at Accent Inns and flights with Pacific Coastal Airlines. If you register by July 31, you will be eligible for our Early Bird Prize - a pannier from Two Wheel Gear.
