HUB Cycling is now accepting applications for our Board of Directors, and we’re looking for leaders like YOU to help us advance our mission to get more people biking, more often.
Why Join the HUB Board?
HUB Cycling is a charitable non-profit that has been working for over 25 years to improve cycling conditions. Our board plays a critical role in guiding our strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and helping us grow our impact across the province.
As a board member, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute your time, skills, and insights to advance safer cycling and active transportation. You’ll work alongside a dedicated group of leaders and staff who are committed to making our communities healthier, more connected, safer and more resilient to the climate crisis.
What We’re Looking for in 2025
This year, we are particularly interested in individuals who can help us build a Board that better reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in the following areas:
- Geographic representation from outside Metro Vancouver
- Legal, governance, finance/accounting, or engineering experience.
- Individuals with lived or professional experience related to social, cultural, physical, mental or financial barriers to cycling.
Whether you’re a lifelong cyclist, an occasional rider, or someone who sees the value of biking even if it’s not your primary mode of transportation, your voice is important. We value diverse experiences, perspectives, and leadership styles.
Not Sure If Board Service is Right for You?
We’re hosting two virtual information sessions where you can learn more about the role, hear from current board members, and ask any questions you may have. This is a great way to get a feel for the organization and the impact you could have as a board member.
