Background - Gilmore Station Area

Twenty years ago, the Gilmore Skytrain Station area was mostly commercial and industrial land with minimal residential development. Today, the the residential and commuter population is growing fast. Local, public input is needed to help make Brentwood Town Centre a bike-friendly and pedestrian-friendly, livable community.

Burnaby residents, commuters and visitors are encouraged to review the Gilmore Station Area plan, and provide feedback on transportation facilities infrastructure, especially all ages cycling and walking.

Planned development includes public realm enhancements and new public spaces, new connections to Lougheed Highway, Gilmore Skytrain integration, and options for new housing, retail and commercial space.

You can also submit your comments in writing on the City of Burnaby website.
