Are you new to Canada and looking for a fun, healthy, and eco-friendly way to explore the city? Look no further than the Newcomers Cycling Program by HUB Cycling!
This program is designed to help new residents—those who have been in Canada for five years or less—develop essential cycling skills, build confidence on two wheels, and connect with a supportive community of fellow newcomers.
What You'll Learn:
Over six comprehensive 2-hour sessions, you'll gain practical knowledge and skills, including:
- Basic bike maneuvering
- Essential bike maintenance
- Planning safe and efficient routes
- Cycling laws of BC and Canada
Who Can Join?
The program is geared towards beginners, but all skill levels are welcome. The goal is to create a welcoming environment where participants can share experiences, encourage one another, and ultimately feel comfortable and safe cycling throughout the city.
Program Details:
- Location: Coquitlam at the Lincoln Park and Ride (3045 Lincoln Avenue)
- Schedule: Tuesdays from August 5th to September , from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
- Cost: By donation!
