May 2, 2017
HUB Cycling is proud be the educational partner in an exciting new program - BIKESAFE presented by Vancity for Mobi by Shaw Go. BIKESAFE aims to get more people excited about cycling, while increasing their skills and knowledge to practice safe cycling while riding a Mobi bike on city streets. Plus – it shows how fun it is to give Mobi a try!
Four videos have been created as part of the program to introduce Vancouverites to #BIKESAFE tips, like how to avoid getting right hooked by turning cars, and executing left turns using green bike boxes. The first in the series highlights the many types of cycling routes around Vancouver and showcases the importance of route planning to make your ride an enjoyable one. Watch the video below!
You can also check out our three animated videos to learn more #BIKESAFE tips, such as:
- Turning left using bike boxes
- Avoiding right hooks when cars are turning right
- Stopping for pedestrians
