Current Priorities
See a list of the Committee's current Priorities and upcoming projects, Other items the Committee is working on:
- Continue to meet with Ministry of Transportation and other stakeholders to extend Central Valley Greenway to the Port Mann Bridge and beyond.
- Providing feedback and suggestions to Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam regarding cycling infrastructure.
- Working towards improvements and amendments to the cycling facilities/access on and around the new Port Mann Bridge infrastructure.
- Working to improve Pitt River bridge cycling connections.
- Continuation and completion of bike routes along Lougheed Highway, between Schoolhouse and Coquitlam Centre, as well as between the Coquitlam Center and Pitt River Bridge.
- Improving safety and access for cyclists on Kingsway in Port Coquitlam, especially around Broadway Street, & as an access point towards the Pitt River Bridge
- Working to improve east-west bike lanes in Port Moody and Port Coquitlam
- Working to improve cycling network connectivity throughout the Tri-Cities region

- Maze gate removal, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam (ongoing, but many removed!)
- Gatensbury MUP, Regan Ave to Port Moody (2023)
- Guildford Greenway, Phase 1 - Johnson to Port Moody (2023)
- Sumiqwuelu (formerly Riverview) wayfinding signage & chain removal from pathway (2023)
- Prairie Avenue MUP between Fremont St and Coast Meridian (2022)
- King Albert Greenway from Blue Mountain Street to Hillcrest Street, extended 2021
- King Albert Greenway from Porter Street to Hillcrest Street, connecting the existing greenway from Porter Street to Blue Mountain Street (2020)
- Multi-use path built on Gatensbury Road linking Port Moody and Coquitlam and connecting schools, downtown Port Moody, a Skytrain station and the West Coast Express (2019 Infrastructure Improvement Award)
- Riverview multi-use path connects Colony Farm in the south with Coquitlam Centre in the north (2019)
- Heritage Mountain extension completed with separated bicycle facilities from Turner Creek Drive to David Avenue (2019)
- Murray Street multi-use path extension completed from Electronic Avenue to Hugh Street (2019)
- Sheep Paddocks Trail reopened, connecting Pitt River Road to Colony Farm (2019)
- New access ramp connecting bike facilities on the Moody Street Overpass to the Moody Centre SkyTrain station (2019)
- Dogwood Fairview Citywide Greenway multi-use path built connecting Burquitlam and Lougheed neighbourhoods (2018)
- Mixed use path and on-street bike lanes on David Avenue in Coquitlam
- Bike lanes along Murray street in Port Moody
- New bike lanes along Barnet and Lougheed in Coquitlam
- Funding secured for upgraded bike lanes along Barnet in Coquitlam

Cycling Maps
The City of Coquitlam and TransLink have created maps of the cycling networks in the Tri-Cities to help all cyclists navigate safely and comfortably on their bikes. These maps are updated regularly to provide current information on cycling and show the comfort levels of each route based on how separated it is from traffic. PDF versions of the maps for the Tri-Cities are available at the links below. Cycling maps for other Metro Vancouver municipalities are available at bikehub.ca/maps.
